About This Module

Where did Native Peoples choose to settle their villages, and why?  How were Native dwellings built, and what raw materials were used to construct them?  Primitive Technologist Jim Dina examines different types of Native American homes and particularly how Indigenous Peoples lived in the central Connecticut River Valley.

Utilizing the available teaching aids, students can also examine terrain maps and learn about Native American Place-Names.  Suggested discussion or writing prompts also complement the informational video and teaching aids in this module.
