Nearly 60 years ago Sally Edlund, 92, South Windsor Historical Society Historian, got the opportunity to buy a privately-owned nursery school in South Windsor.  After several local banks rejected her request for the needed $5,000 loan she received help - and the loan - from an unexpected source.

South Windsor native John “Duke” Mason, 68, is a flooring installer - turned writer and videographer, who voluntarily produces several Facebook and Youtube shows, some focusing on town history and people.  John joined the board of directors of the South Windsor Historical Society 2021.
